Account Deletion
At ReUp, we respect your privacy and give users the ability to request deletion of their account and associated personal information.
How to Request Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your ReUp account by:
using the account deletion tools available within the ReUp app, if enabled; or
contacting us at privacy@reupcmp.com with the subject line: Delete My Account
To help us process your request, please include:
your full name;
the email address associated with your account;
your username, if available; and
the university associated with your account, if applicable.
What Happens After You Submit a Request
Once we receive your request, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity and process the deletion request in accordance with applicable law.
After verification, we will delete or de-identify your personal information, except where retention is permitted or required for legitimate business or legal purposes.
What May Be Deleted
Subject to applicable law, deletion may include:
your account profile information;
your saved account details;
your listings and certain user-generated content;
your messages and communications, where feasible;
your account-related personal information maintained by ReUp.
What We May Retain
We may retain certain information where necessary to:
comply with legal obligations;
detect, investigate, or prevent fraud, abuse, harassment, or other misconduct;
resolve disputes or enforce our Terms of Service;
complete transactions already in progress;
protect the safety, security, rights, or property of ReUp, our users, or others;
comply with tax, accounting, or recordkeeping obligations.
Processing Time
We will process verified deletion requests within a reasonable period of time, subject to legal and operational requirements.
