This Privacy Policy describes how ReUp Marketplace LLC, doing business as ReUp (“ReUp,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you access or use the ReUp website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through the Platform, in communications with users, and in connection with account creation, listings, transactions, messaging, support, safety, and Platform operations.

A. Information You Provide Directly

  • your name, username, profile details, and school affiliation;

  • your email address, phone number, and login credentials;

  • listing details, item descriptions, prices, photos, and related content;

  • messages and communications sent through the Platform;

  • shipping information, pickup preferences, and transaction details;

  • support requests, feedback, surveys, and other communications;

  • identity verification information if requested for trust, safety, fraud prevention, or compliance purposes.

B. Transaction and Payment Information

If payments are enabled, we may collect or receive transaction-related information such as purchase amounts, timestamps, transaction status, and payment-related identifiers.

Payment card and bank account information may be collected and processed by third-party payment providers rather than directly by ReUp. ReUp does not store full payment card details unless expressly stated otherwise.

C. Automatically Collected Information

When you use the Platform, we may automatically collect certain information, including:

  • device type, operating system, browser type, app version, and mobile network information;

  • IP address, device identifiers, log data, and approximate location derived from IP;

  • usage data such as clicks, page views, searches, listing interactions, and session activity;

8. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account by using the deletion tools available in the Platform or by contacting us at privacy@reupcmp.com.

When you request deletion, we will delete or de-identify your personal information as required by applicable law, subject to permitted retention for legitimate business and legal purposes, including fraud prevention, dispute resolution, safety, tax, accounting, security, and legal compliance.

Certain information may be retained where necessary to:

  • complete transactions already in progress;

  • detect or prevent fraud or abuse;

  • comply with legal obligations;

  • enforce our Terms; or

  • protect the safety, rights, and security of ReUp, users, or others.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for using the Platform securely.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

11. Third-Party Services

The Platform may include links to or integrations with third-party services, including payment processors, analytics tools, shipping providers, and advertising services. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, or content practices of third-party services. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.

12. International Users

If you access the Platform from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have data protection laws different from those in your location.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will revise the Effective Date above and post the updated version on the Platform.

Your continued use of the Platform after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
